The Valentine ice-cream sundae party dance will take place on Monday, February 18th (which also happens to be family day!) This will be a free dance!! The reason for this change is that on this date our class of new dancers will be joining the club, having finished their 6 weeks of lessons. So please all come out and welcome your new club members and have fun making your own ice-cream sundae!!

Remember that our regular season will start up on September 10th at George Street Church hall. Please try to bring at least one new person to try square dancing.

Unfortunately the organizers of the special event that was to be organized in support of the Lakefield Farmers Market have cancelled it for this year. (The whole thing is cancelled, not just our dance).
However they have indicated that we would welcome us to come on a Thursday and do a demonstration (which was our original plan) . The executive feel this would be a good opportunity to get our name out there so we are TENTATIVELY planning to do this on Thursday, August 23. I am waiting to confirm this with them.

From 7:00 – 9:00pm we will be hosting an introduction to modern square dancing! This is an event for all ages – Singles, couples, families and youth. We will have refreshments for everyone.
Learn some of the basics of modern square dancing while making new friends – all for free!
The dance will be at George Street United Church, which is on the corner of McDonnel and George Street. Come in comfortable clothes and shoes.
